LED MIRROR

LUCID

Light as a material.

SCROLL
LUCID Enquire

A room can be perfectly lit and still feel flat.

LUCID was shaped around that thought. Instead of treating the mirror as a fixture, we treated it as a canvas — a surface where reflection, warmth and material sit together the way they do in a well-composed painting. The glass doesn't just bounce light back. It softens it, carries it, lets it settle the way golden hour settles across a wall.

Another surface through which
the room can be experienced.

Whatever stands before a mirror becomes part of what it reflects. LUCID makes that a design decision — the glass becomes a second field of the interior, gathering architecture, material and movement and returning them.

Design

The glass edge is
the only edge.

  • Frameless, with no visible trim

No metal surround, no bezel, no bracket showing on the finished wall. The polished glass edge finishes the product.

  • Two vertical light elements

Set inside the mirror face near the left and right edges, behind a bonded diffusion layer. Frontal, even, shadow-reducing light on the face — not a bar screwed to the surface.

  • A perimeter halo carried by the glass

The outer glow runs along the glass's own polished edge rather than a separate diffuser ring. How evenly it reads depends on edge polish and thickness consistency, which is why it is made rather than bought in.

  • One control, flush to the face

A single capacitive touch sensor sits flush in the lower mirror face. Nothing protrudes, nothing interrupts the reflection.

Light

Warm enough for stone.
Clear enough for a face.

3000K warm white is the standard calibration — chosen to sit with timber and stone-toned vanities rather than read as clinical. Specify the tunable option and the same surface moves from 2700K to 6000K on the touch control. Drag to see it.

Woman photographing herself outdoors in bright daylight

Daylight, indoors. The vertical elements sit either side of your face rather than above it, so you get the flat, even light of an open window instead of a shadow under the brow.

Woman taking a mirror selfie in warm evening light

The mirror selfie, lit properly. Frontal light means no hotspot on the glass and no silhouette. What the camera sees is what you see.

Woman applying lipstick at a lit mirror in a green-toned bathroom

True colour at any hour. At 3000K the light stays warm without going yellow, so lipstick and foundation read the same at 7am as they do under evening light.

Close work, no squinting. Enough output for detail at arm's length, dimmable down to something that won't wake the rest of the house.

Sizes

Three sizes, shown to scale.

Every LUCID ships in finished, tested dimensions. Each drawing is set against a 1800 mm figure so you can judge the footprint against your own vanity.

Approximate depth 30 mm on every size. 1200 mm is the maximum unsupported width before a secondary structural bracket is specified, and cut-to-size glass is not offered at this stage.

Add-ons

Three things worth
adding at order.

Anti-fog pad

Bonded to the back of the glass. Holds the reflection clear through steam without a separate fan or a wiped patch in the middle of the mirror.

Nanocoating

An easy-clean surface treatment that resists water marks and fingerprints, so the glass keeps reading as glass between cleans.

Mirror split between a water-marked, fingerprinted half and a clean nanocoated half, with a magnified view of beading droplets

Tunable colour temperature

Replaces fixed warm white with a touch-adjustable range from warm to neutral, set from the same single sensor.

Why we make it

Swap the glass
and the product stops working.

Replace the mirror glass with acrylic or polished metal and the halo either disappears or needs a bolted-on light ring. The defining detail does not survive the substitution — which is why LUCID sits inside ModDwell manufacturing rather than being assembled from a bought-in mirror and an LED kit.

Edge quality here is functional, not cosmetic. How evenly the halo reads depends directly on the polish and thickness consistency of the glass itself. Three decades of architectural glass at TPRS is the reason we can hold it.

Living with it

Do

  • Install on a dry, structurally sound wall with concealed power access behind the mirror.
  • Clean with a soft microfibre cloth and a non-ammonia, non-abrasive glass cleaner.
  • Switch the touch control off before cleaning near the sensor zone.
  • Mount with the approved concealed cleat system, which is what keeps the frameless edge true.

Don't

  • Drill through or resize the glass on site. LUCID ships in finished, tested dimensions only.
  • Install within direct spray range of a shower or handheld shower head.
  • Use abrasive pads, solvents or ammonia-based cleaners on the glass or the sensor.
  • Surface-mount over an existing wired fixture without first confirming the junction box position.
